“ Located in the Market city center, next to Ginas Korean restaurant. This is a great Japanese hotpot restaurant. Great assortment of options, best lunch specials on the island! I highly recommend their 9.99 Black pork belly nabe generous thin slices of pork belly, vegetables, aburage, and be sure to add ramen noodles for 1.25. They offer several broth options, ranging from miso to spicy. We also tried their raw octopus with wasabi sauce 3 lunch special. They also offer teishoku beef sukiyaki or chicken Karaage. Excellent kids meal for 8, featuring pork sausage, French fries and rice. ”
“ The beef marina hotpot is so good, tasty and fresh made!! The lunch menu is a great deal! Everything is so fresh and well served. The service made you feel that you are in Japan!! Love it. Would love to go back again!! Food is so yummy that I forgot to take a photo!! ”
“ The food was absolutely delicious! I love everything and how it was in such a good price for hot pot. The service was quick and got seated in minutes. The server was sweet and checked on us to make sure how everything is. I saw how quick our food came out. The food was hot and fresh and the chicken was crispy. The soup was very flavorful. Each plating was so unique and beautiful. And how we didnt had to wait that long for our service. I will definitely come back and highly recommend others to come. ”
“ Soooo good! The key is the broth any broth from here works amazingly with both the beef and veggie, as well as the final porridge, which I feel is the Grant finale for the whole experience. How it works is that you add the rice and raw egg into the broth towards the end and you will have a tasty porridge at the end of everything. Soooo good! Also, they got great beer and sake here. I had the Sakura draft, smooth and fruity. ”
“ Amazing, delicious. We had Kamitoku ramen a few days prior and were really impressed so we gave their hot pot a shot. I thought I knew what good hot pot was until I tried their broth. Incredibly rich, flavorful, high quality. Their meat was very good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend. I am sad we have to go home back to what we thought was decent hot pot. Someone mentioned BYOB in another post but I dont think thats the case anymore as they sell beer and sake. ”
“ 5 guys demolishing two sets of Shogun set. Food was great, home made kim chi had the right amount of spiciness without masking the savoriness. The topper was the tiny coconut ice cream and matcha melted all the fullness away. 5 stars all across the board ”
“ Five star indeed! Excellent food and service. This is the first time we had Japanese hot pot and it was just amazing. Everythings so fresh and umami. Would definitely come back if every visiting Honolulu again. ”
“ Nicely decorated izakaya at City Market Plaza. We tried its signature lunch omakase with Wagyu beef, veggies, ramen, tofu and veggies. It also came with green tea and a mochi dessert. The meat was very good and veggies were fresh, but the beef based soup was the winner. The service was excellent and friendly. We will come back to try its other dishes. Note this place is one of the only eateries that closes after lunch period is over and reopens later for dinner. ”
